Well here we go people, I think we can set aside a little light hearted discussion for us all. Whats your favourite animal and most of all why?

I know I have a strong affection for the fox as my name itself is actually the welsh for fox lol. The reason for this is I find them truely beautiful, they seem to have a air of mystery about them. Also I have been inspired time and time again by the stories where fox pulls one over on a person. Also seen the flip side where fox gets caught out so many times.

So for me its that little bit of 'naughty' that just makes me love the fox more ;)

i have a few animals that i really love.

first off...i love dogs. more specifically cocker spaniels, and a certain collie/lab/black retreiver cross called bruno. i grew up with dogs and feel so lonely without them. they kinda understand me and with bruno, well lets just say he really was my best friend growing up.

Ravens - well obviously, the name. but also my auntie jane was a vet, the kind of vet who works from home and takes in sick animals like foxes, deers, ravens, rooks, owls. but there was this one raven who i just loved. i was fascinated with it!

Raccoons - this is because i have seen another side of them. they really are such loving animals and have a bad rep. we had one when i was growing up and i was the only one (except my dad obviously) that he didn't attack. i used to put my hand up to the cage (it was actually a converted greenhouse with a huge extension my dad built) and he would put his paw up and touch my hand. they really are the sweetest, gentlest creatures if you get to know them.

and finally, an animal i don't actually have any experience with - the manx cat. i heard about them when i was little and i thought they sounded so cool. i saw some pics of them and heard a few folk tales and they have stayed with me ever since. just saying 'manx cat' gives out a friendly vibe to me.

oh, that was a few huh!

Cats. I love everything about them. I love the attitude they have and they way they do things. My favourite thing about cats is that they look so adorable but they can be very feisty and do a lot of damage with their teeth and claws.

I love ravens too. They are big, sleek and beautiful and have an amazing presence.

I love most animals but my favourite 2 are the cat, mine rules the roost and the altar quite nicely. My second is the horse i had a lovely palomino named Appolo when i was younger and loved nothing better that going away camping for a few days in the Maybee Forrest in my home town of Dumfries. oh how i miss that

you know, for some reason i have always been a bit scared of horses. part of it is a deep respect for them, and i guess the other part is that i know popel who have been very seriously injured by horses before. my aunt ended up with her leg in a calliper (sp) and a friend at school was thrown by a horse and had her thigh crushed when the horse ran over her. makes me a bit wary!
i do find them very graceful though. i highly respect horses and i guess i 'fear' them because i've seen both sides.

I can understand why you are wary, some of my friends were a bit scared of my horse who was a stallion (never believed in gettin bits lopped off) he was very protective of me. I suppose i was brought up with horses but i will always know them as beautiful, sensitive and intelligent creatures.

P.S why am i advertising google ads. I saw someone elses post advertising cliff richard tickets  :?
